The Room are a melodic rock band with prog influences from London and the south of the UK. The band members bring together a rich musical background. Their broad influences and experience shape the bands unique sound, delivered with great musicianship, catchy hooks and intriguing lyrics.

TIMELINE

Formed late in 2010 the band started shaping their instantly recognisable sound while writing their debut album Open Fire. The Room signed to Melodic Revolution Records in October 2012 and the album was released in December that year. 2014, and ill health saw the retirement of drummer Andrew Rae who was replaced by Chris York. June 2015 The Room sign to Bad Elephant Music and release ‘Carrie’ as a single. The bands second album, Beyond The Gates of Bedlam was released in November 2015 to critical acclaim and extensive radio plays.

Over the next couple of years the band completed a promotional UK tour, made several festival appearances and opened for Inglorious. White Star Records then released the single 'Broken' and the bands third studio album Caught By The Machine in February 2019 which was produced by the legendary John Mitchell.
